The client approached Sealed Trading to modernise an outdated ensuite and improve its overall functionality. The existing layout was cramped and poorly designed, featuring ageing fixtures and mismatched finishes. In particular, the client had previously experienced drainage issues that required them to rip up the floor tiles to access and fix the problem. This resulted in visibly unmatched floor tiles outside the shower area — one of the key motivations behind undertaking a full renovation.
The client’s goal was to create a clean, modern space with a more efficient layout and high-end finishes that would not only enhance everyday use but also add value to the home. With these needs in mind, we worked closely with them from the initial design phase right through to completion, delivering a beautiful and functional transformation they were thrilled with.

The ensuite renovation began with a design consultation, where we sat down with the client to understand their style preferences and layout ideas. During this process, we offered recommendations to improve both functionality and aesthetics — such as relocating the vanity to the centre of the room. This adjustment not only created more space in front of the toilet but also made the vanity the focal point when entering the ensuite, resulting in a more balanced and visually appealing layout.
Once the design was finalised, we moved on to a full demolition, stripping the space back to its shell to prepare for the new configuration. Our in-house qualified plumber carried out all plumbing reconfiguration work, ensuring everything met code and was tailored to the updated layout. We also applied a full waterproofing system using our in-house waterproofer, giving us complete confidence in the quality of our workmanship. That’s why we offer a 15-year warranty on all complete bathroom renovations.
Electrical upgrades were also included in the project, with the installation of additional power points to accommodate modern needs and enhance convenience. Behind the wall-hung vanity, we carried out additional carpentry work to reinforce the wall framing — ensuring it could securely support the weight of the new unit and remain structurally sound long term.
With the foundations in place, we installed floor-to-ceiling ceramic tiles in a modern light grey tone, bringing a clean and timeless backdrop to the space. The vanity and mirror cabinet were finished in a natural wood grain for warmth and texture, while the vanity benchtop was completed in a neutral off-white stone. A rounded edge white ceramic basin was selected to sit on top, creating a sleek and contemporary look. These carefully selected materials paired with matte black tapware and a frameless glass shower screen brought the space together. The final result is a functional, stylish, and modern ensuite the client was absolutely thrilled with.
